Causes
The Do Good Bus is constantly updating our database with new non-profits, local causes and volunteer opportunities. We do our best to include all types of volunteering from working with kids to beach clean up to building new homes.
We would love for you to learn about these causes on one of our trips but we are also commited to creating awareness for local causes. We hope the following list will entice you on one of our rides, but we also hope to be an online resource of ways to help in your community. So if you visit or donate to one of these causes on your own, tell them the Do Good Bus sent you!

Friends of El Faro
Our mission is simple – to show up and help improve the lives of the children of Casa Hogar Sion in anyway we can. Long term, our goal is to purchase land and build them a new home. In the mean time there are hungry children to feed, to shelter, keep safe and send to school. |

LA Guerrilla Gardening
Gardening public property with or without permission. LAGG's mission is to get our hands dirty by starting gardens all over Los Angeles. But most importantly, to be a resource for other potential Guerrilla Gardeners and a homebase for people interested in brightening their own communities. |

The Snedden Family
In 2006, the Snedden Family began the process of adopting Ruth, then 13, from Casa Hogar Sion in Tijuana, Mexico. After almost four years of red tape and 100's of trips to Mexico, Ruth still isn't home. |

Fallen Fruit
Fallen Fruit is an art collaboration that began with creating maps of public fruit: the fruit trees growing on or over public property in Los Angeles. From protests to proposals for new urban green spaces, we aim to reconfigure the relation between those who have resources and those who do not, to examine the nature of & in the city, and to investigate new, shared forms of land use and property. |

| Fallen Fruit & LA Guerrilla Gardening -- The Hunt |
It was Easter weekend, so this ride sort of HAD to be called "The Hunt". We scoured for Easter eggs, Fallen Fruit and a good Guerrilla Gardening location. We took to the streets of Sherman Oaks and Filipino Town where we rocked out with the LA Derby Dolls and Super Duper.

| Burrito Project LA -- Roll With It |
The Do Good Bus was really excited to partner with Burrito Project LA because of the nature of their group. They consider themselves a no fame, no faces organization and are simply a group of friends helping feed the homeless in downtown LA.
We rolled (on our bikes!) from Hollywood to Koreatown where we rolled burritos and learned about the project then headed straight downtown to give out burritos, water and some friendly conversation.

| Friends of El Faro -- Our Big Backyard |
We headed South of the Border and stopped for a killer buffet on the way down. Bus volunteers unloaded tons of cleaning supplies and other necessities for Casa Hogar Sion, an orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico.
In addition to a surprise Mariachi band, many of the kids performed songs and dances for a special guest on the bus and all of our volunteers. We cooked burgers and made reindeers using hand and foot prints, bells and googly eyes. Many volunteers made their way to the nursery, while others played soccer with the older kids.

| 826LA & Hug it Forward -- Personal Statement |
We had a special guest on this trip -- Sharone Hakman from Master Chef. Not only did he make a fabulous gourmet lunch for us, but he volunteered as well. We made two stops this trip:
1. Hug It Forward -- we hopped off the bus at the Silver Lake Farmer's Market to give out free hugs. The hugs we gave, if registered online, gave 25 cents to help build 'Bottle Schools" in Guatemala. Read more about Hug It Forward and register to give out your own hugs!
2. 826LA: Personal Statement Day -- Our volunteers were such good students AND teachers on this trip. All of our volunteers were trained on the bus to help high school seniors write and finalize their Personal Statement Essays for their college applications.

| The Snedden Family (Adopting Ruth) & Camp Harmony |
This ride supported TWO causes. All funds raised went directly to the Snedden Family to help with the overwhelming costs of adopting Ruth from an orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico. Our volunteer hours were spent playing with kids at Camp Harmony -- a week-long camp for homeless kids aged 7-10 years old.
